Wine Travel: Creating Lasting Memories With Unique Experiences

About three years ago, Richard Carosella and his cousin took a trip to Napa Valley for some much needed rest and relaxation, and who can blame them? The CEO of a Direct Mail Company, Carosella constantly flies across coasts to meet with clients, generate buzz and create noteworthy business.

He had only heard about Destination Cellars through a wine network in YPO (Young Presidents' Organization), but with our help Carosella experienced some of the region's most exclusive vineyards and formed a relationship to last a lifetime.

"We went to a few vineyards on the trip; the one that stuck out was Vineyard 29," said Carosella. "That became and still is one of my favorites. We met Daniel Ha who is now at Dana Estates and was amazing in his knowledge of wines. To this day, I still am in contact with Daniel."

So, what's it like letting Destination Cellars and our founder and CEO, David Keuhner, create your wine experience? Carosella explains:

"David and I talked about a trip I wanted to do with clients in Los Angeles. I chartered a sail boat and David had Daniel Ha come to LA with a few of the wines they like. They were all wines from Phillipe Melka, (Dana Estates, Vineyard 29, Gemstone). Daniel did a wine tasting for us as we did a cruise up the California coast. It was a beautiful day and having Daniel Ha in to teach us about wines made the day perfect. David had set up the wines for us to taste, and set Daniel up to fly in from Napa and spend the day with us."

And just when you thought it couldn't get better, Destination Cellars created another experience for Carosella, this time on a more intimate level:

"The third trip was with my fiancée, now wife. We had an amazing tour and lunch at Signorello Vineyard. The tour was unreal and the view from our lunch table next to the infinity pool was breathtaking. The food prepared by their in house chef was dellious! We did a tour and tasting at Dana Estates which was the most beautiful winery I have been to. We did a tour and tasting at Vineyard 29 so my wife could see where the wine we drink at home came from!"

But at Destination Cellars, we make sure our clients get more than good wine. We want our clients to experience the unique and extraordinary.

"Through a friend I met through David, my wife and I were introduced to the owners of Sabina Vineyards. The owners, David and Susan Sabin opened up their Vineyard and their home to my wife and I. We tried all of their wonderful wines with them and I played with their beautiful dog Chester! This was a once in a lifetime experience."
